2015 Call on Washington, March 3-5, 2015

Dear NTTC Member,

The NTTC cordially invites you to participate in our 2015 Call on Washington in our nation's capital to be held on March 3-5, 2015.

The organization’s leadership encourages you to participate in this critically important and timely NTTC program.  Join your peers as we discuss the most pressing issues that face our industry and then carry that message directly to our country’s leading Congressional policy makers.  Our last Call on Washington in 2013 was a solid success and now it's time for us to gather again and advocate for our industry in front of the newly-elected 114th Congress.

HOTEL INFORMATION:  We have a block of rooms reserved at the Loews Madison Hotel (1177 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20005).  Please call (855) 325 6397 and refer to group code NTTC by Thursday, February 19th to receive the NTTC rate of $300/night.  Reservations made after February 19th will be at the hotels discretion and at the prevailing rate.

If you need any assistance or if your plans change and you no longer need your reservation, please contact Bethany before cancelling with the hotel.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:  Please complete and return the registration form via email or fax (703-838-8860).

FORMAT: Unlike our two previous Washington fly-ins, this year’s program is intended to be much more user-friendly and leadership-oriented.  Our event planning focus will be on hosting group events on the Hill where we will be joined by key legislators which allows us to limit some of the marching back and forth across the Capitol complex.  We will still schedule individual meetings as in the past with other legislators that impact our industry or your respective congressional districts, as well as those you may identify on your registration forms.

ROUGH SCHEDULE: Prior to our Capitol Hill visits, we will be briefed by NTTC lobbying team and ATA policy specialists to ensure that we take full advantage of this opportunity to add our informed voice to the legislative process that impacts your business on a daily basis. We plan to use Tuesday for policy briefings, all day Wednesday for Congressional events and individual meetings, and we are holding Thursday morning for scheduling conflicts.   Accordingly, we highly recommend you plan to arrive in Washington, D.C. by noon on Tuesday, March 3rd and then depart on Thursday, March 5th after 2:00 pm if your schedule allows.

AIRPORT & GROUND INFO: The closest airport is Reagan National Airport (DCA) which is approximately 10 minutes away and with an estimated $18 cab fare.  Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 40 minutes away with an estimated $65 cab fare. Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) is approximately one hour away with an estimated $100 cab fare, but it occasionally offers lower fares.

NTTC is enthused to once again host such an interactive and timely event and we sincerely hope that you will join your fellow tank truckers for our 2015 Call on Washington.
