Winter Membership & Board Meeting 2019

NTTC WINTER MEMBERSHIP & BOARD MEETING
Casa de Campo, La Romana, Dominican Republic
February 8 - 10, 2019

NTTC's Winter Membership & Board of Directors Meeting offers the first opportunity of the new year to gather with industry executives, fleet professionals, and leading suppliers to connect, catch up, and address the year ahead of us. At this year's winter meeting, we'll hear from industry leaders on current advocacy efforts, focus on segment specific issues, and celebrate the positive impact of NTTC's activities.

Registration is now open for NTTC's 2019 Winter Membership & Board Meeting, February 8 - 10, 2019 at the amazing Casa de Campo Resort & Villas in La Romana, Dominican Republic.

Casa de Campo is a luxurious resort on the beach on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic. Among its amenities, it features beaches with crystal-clear blue water, sporting options ranging from tennis to shooting, gourmet dining options, and The Teeth of the Dog: the #1 golf course in the Carribean, #27 in the world.

Mark your calendars, check your passport expiration date and start making your plans now to join your industry peers at one of the first and finest resorts in the D.R.

Safety Information

The U.S. State Department has issued a Travel Advisory Warning at Level 2 – Exercise Increased Caution for the Dominican Republic. NTTC is excited about hosting our Winter Meeting in the Dominican Republic but suggests that attendees educate themselves about traveling safely within the country. This warning applies especially to women who may be targets of violent crime, minors and first-time travelers outside the United States. If encounter any issues, contact the US Embassy at +1 (809) 567-7775.

American medical insurance is unlikely to apply in the Dominican Republic. Consider getting coverage through travel insurance, especially if you have reason to believe you may need medical services. Canadians should check with their provider for international coverage information.

The roads in the Dominican Republic tend to be lower quality, so private transportation companies are recommended for traveling to or from the resort. Be aware that legally, people involved in major traffic accidents in the DR are required to be held in custody for 48 hours afterward, regardless of fault or injury.

We urge Americans to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program and officially register their visit with the U.S. State Department. Visas are not required for Americans or Canadians, but Americans and Canadians are required to purchase a DR Tourist Card. This may already be included in cost of your airfare, and can be purchased at the airport for $10.
