Past NTTC Chairman Rush to Participate in Next-Gen Trucking Summit

Steve Rush, past NTTC Chairman and President of NTTC member company Carbon Express, will speak at the Moving America Forward: Next-Gen Truck Freight Transport summit on October 25.

This two-day summit features top experts presenting and discussing the challenges and opportunities that new technologies are creating in the trucking industry. Raymond P. Martinez, administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, will appear as a keynote speaker, as will Leslie Richards, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The Engineering School at the University of Pennsylvania will host the summit on its campus on October 24 and 25.

Mr. Rush will participate in the session on automation, vehicle connectivity, and platooning. The panel will discuss the implementation and commercial potential of automation and platooning technologies, current issues, and potential for the future. He will be joined by panel chairs Jeff Hickman of Virginia Tech and Steve Boyd, co-founder of Peloton Technologies, and fellow panelist Alden Woodrow, former product lead for self-driving trucks at Uber.
