About the Contest

Being named a Grand Champion in the North American Safety Contest is one of the highest honors a tank truck carrier or private fleet can achieve in safety performance. The recognition reflects outstanding results across key safety metrics, including accident frequency, compliance history, and safety program implementation.

Beyond the numbers, the award represents an organization-wide commitment to protecting drivers, the motoring public, customers, and the communities served by the tank truck industry.

Why Apply?

The North American Safety Contest gives carriers an opportunity to showcase their commitment to safety excellence, strengthen credibility, and demonstrate leadership among peers, customers, and industry stakeholders.

Participation also helps NTTC collect meaningful safety data that supports industry advocacy and reinforces the tank truck sector’s commitment to responsible operations.

How It Works

Carriers compete in mileage-based classes across the Harvison, Sutherland, and Private Fleet divisions. First-round winners are recognized by class, with top performers advancing to the second round.

Final Grand Champions are selected and honored at NTTC’s Annual Conference.
