Nevada Ends Emergency HOS Waiver for Fuel Hauling Early

On February 14, Nevada Governor Lombardo declared an early end to the state of emergency due to a gas pipeline disruption.

The original emergency declaration was issued on February 10, 2023 in response to a fuel pipeline leak in southern Nevada. This declaration sought to waive hours of service requirements for the transportation of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and other refined petroleum products. The declaration was expected to end on February 25.

The source of the pipeline leak was identified and repaired by the end of February 11. Emergency management partners were later able to confirm that fuel transportation and supply had fully returned to normal in Las Vegas.

Although the emergency has concluded, NTTC will broadcast any updates when available.
