PHMSA Emergency Waiver Order for HAZMAT in States Impacted by Hurricane Laura

The Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration hosted a called this afternoon to discuss the Emergency Waiver Order released on August 26, supporting efforts by the Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Coast Guard to address impacts and recovery from Hurricane Laura. The Emergency Waiver addresses the potential threat to public health and the environment caused by actual or potential oil and hazardous materials incidents resulting from Hurricanes Laura or Marco within the disaster emergency areas located in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
