Canada Not to Renew COVID-19 Travel Restrictions; ArriveCAN Optional

Canada’s border restrictions concerning COVID-19 testing, quarantine, and isolation are set to expire at midnight October 1, 2022 and will not be renewed. The ArriveCAN platform will continue as an optional tool, allowing foreigners to complete customs and immigration paperwork online rather than paper forms. Previously, as a measure to counter the COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada mandated use of the ArriveCAN app for submitting required information like proof of vaccination for COVID-19 and/or test results.

It is important to note that masking regulations for Canadian bound aircraft and trains are not encompassed in this order expiration.
